Job Description:

  • You will be operating various forms of Material handling Equipment around the facility.

  • Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Take delivery of goods and supplies

  • Check for damaged or missing items

  • Store goods appropriately

  • Pick and pack orders for dispatch

  • Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck

  • Load goods for dispatch

  • Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards

  • Input data regarding stock and inventory into the SAP system

  • Keep accurate stock records

  • Carry out stock counts as and when required

  • Keep paperwork up to date

  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others

  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency

  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

System knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding of WM-IM ERP systems.

  • Manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word - Excel – PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Outlook (emails).

  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.

  • Able to work well as part of a team.

  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.

  • Ability to plan and organise workload.

  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork.

Self-Management:

  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.

  • Conduct daily 6S activities to keep all working areas clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency (Sort – Set in order – Shine – Standardise – Sustain – Safety).

  • Escalate issues effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Good self-motivator.

  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks.

  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor-quality Qualifications and experience Levels

Experience:

  • Warehouse: 3 years (required).

  • Knowledge of industrial WM systems and storage procedures.

  • At least 2 – 3 years’ experience with ERP and / or MRP systems.

  • Excellent proficiency in the use of office products (Excel).

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment role.

  • Experience in working collaboratively and cross-functionally.

Licenses and Other Requirements:

  • Valid UK driver's license
